You Can't Stop Birthdays

Dear Friend,

Let’s face it—you can’t stop birthdays. And as we age, women in particular face unique health challenges, especially as they go through menopause. As a doctor, I’ve seen firsthand how hot flashes, night sweats, fatigue, and mood swings can be disruptive to say the least.

What’s worse in my opinion are the approaches of conventional medicine, that many women find questionable and frightening at best.

A safe, natural solution to help ease menopausal symptoms

As a naturopathic physician I’ve been championing another way—mother nature’s way. I believe in using black cohosh to help ease the symptoms of menopause. Black cohosh is a natural herb the Eastern Woodland Native Americans used for generations to relieve disruptive, uncomfortable symptoms associated with menopause.

What I don’t believe is that all black cohosh extracts are equal. That’s why I only recommend one specific black cohosh extract that has been studied and scientifically proven to help women relieve menopausal symptoms. It’s called Klimadynon—and in my opinion, it’s simply the best.

Klimadynon is developed using a patented process and unique drying method that results in a chemical profile that’s unlike any other black cohosh product. It’ll bring you clinically shown relief from hot flashes, sleeplessness, vaginal dryness, and mood changes associated with menopause. And you don’t have to worry, Klimadynon doesn’t affect your estrogen levels.

Women going through menopause also have another health challenge they need to be concerned about—and that's the health of their bones.

I urge you to get your bones tested

Women tend to lose one to three percent of their bone mass yearly during the first five to ten years after entering menopause. That’s why I strongly recommend that all women get a Bone Mineral Density (BMD) test during perimenopause, or at the very latest, during the first year after menstruation has ceased. It can help identify how strong your bones currently are and provide a baseline for determining whether a bone-strengthening program is working.

In my opinion, a balanced diet and weight-bearing exercises are a necessary part of any bone program but, I believe your bones need more than that. They need to be fed the nutrients they crave—that’s where supplements come in.

There are special, key nutrients your body needs to help build strong, resilient bones. And I’m not just talking about calcium. I recommend all women give their bones a balanced combination of specific bone-building nutrients. I developed my BioComplete Bone Builder to do just that—it gives you what I believe are some of the best natural sources to support your entire bone.

BEYOND HOT FLASHES—
Menopause can also be drying to your skin

As women go through menopause, their skin begins to take on a life of its own. Ladies, when estrogen levels decline, all of the tissues in your body—including your skin—begin losing moisture and thinning out. And it's the drying and thinning of the layers in your skin that changes its appearance.

The good news is you can keep your skin looking and feeling younger by moisturizing it. For years now, I've been recommending squalane—it's a natural compound that's found throughout nature, in our own skin, as well as in olive oil and shark liver oil. When applied topically, it does an excellent job of diminishing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Once you smooth it on, you'll be amazed. Your skin will feel soft and hydrated, and look younger, smoother, and more radiant.

In all my years of treating women’s health concerns and menopause, I’ve become so grateful for the advances in natural medicine that offer women real help, hope, and healing. Working in harmony with Nature can really help a woman be herself through this change of life.
